Turbofire (conceptualized as Dream Car) is an original design by Ira Gilford from 1969. The rear hatch opens to expose a turbine motor. As with all moving parts the hinges are fragile and are susceptible to breaking, causing the hatch to fall off and become lost. Turbofires have a red painted tail light. All Turbofires are made in the USA and no casting variations have been found (other than the size of the (R) on the base which can be either small or large, this does not affect the value).
