Cookin’ Capri Casting Reference | Loose Hot Wheels
Cookin' Capri
The Cookin' Capri is a Shift Kickers model based on a 1979 Mercury Capri. The selling point of the cars was their "stick shift" action; each of the cars had a comically oversized shifter which sort of acted as a handbrake. Pulling back the handle locks the wheels in place and makes the car unable to move; pushing the handle forwards allows the car to go. As with all of the Shift Kickers models, the casting was actually repurposed from an old Scorchers casting; it was known as the Capri Turbo in its Scorchers guise.
