The Jaguar E-Type, known as the XK-E in the American market, is a front-mid-engined sports car manufactured by Jaguar from 1961 to 1974. Designed by Malcolm Sayer, the E-Type was based on the racing D-Type and employed a front subframe carrying the engine, front suspension and front bodywork bolted directly to the bodytub.
