The Aston Martin V8 Vantage was a performance-oriented version of the V8, produced from 1977 to 1989. Hailed as "Britain's first supercar", the V8 Vantage was equipped with a 5.3L V8 (a 6.3L V8 was optional) shared with the Lagonda with higher-performance camshafts, increased compression ratio, larger inlet valves and bigger carburetors.
