1991 BMW M3
The BMW M3 is a high-performance version of the BMW 3 Series produced since 1986. The first generation of the M3, based on the E30 generation of the 3 Series, was designed by Claus Luthe and was available mainly in a coupe body style but limited numbers of coupes were made available. The E30 M3 was mainly intended as a homologation special to allow it to race in the Deutsche Tourenwagen Meisterschaft (DTM) and Group A Touring Car rules, with at least 5,000 examples needing to be produced to homologate the car.
