'48 Austin Coupe
The '48 Austin Coupe is a Hot Wheels casting which debuted in the collector-aimed (100% Hot Wheels) Classical Gassers 2-Car Set. It features a removable front section and was only released once before being discontinued. It is based on the car driven by 'Big John' Mazmanian in 1967. Nicknamed 'The Football' due to its unique shape with chopped roof and sloped rear. In 1967 the Austin ran 161.87MPH at 8.8 seconds and went on to win many match races and AA/GS programs in California.
