The Dallara IR-05 is an open-wheel formula racing car designed by Dallara for use in the IndyCar Series, used from 2005 to 2011. It is an update of the Dallara IR-03/04 chassis, being given significant aerodynamic changes compared to the previous chassis. Initially powered by V8 engines manufactured by Chevrolet, Honda and Toyota among other manufacturers, by 2007 virtually all competitors were using Honda Indy V8s.
