It is based on Lola T97/00 from the 1997 CART season, driven by the Brazilian André Ribeiro by the Tasman Motorsport team, having reached 14th position at the end of the 1997 season. This chassis had aerodynamic problems due to a calibration error of the Cranfield test wind tunnel and that had been used by Lola for a long time.
